Marketing and Press Officer

We are recruiting a Freelance Marketing and Press Officer who will support the team in maximising audience attendance and other income streams. They will create and implement dynamic marketing campaigns for our visiting, in-house and touring productions, managing our social media accounts and implementing engaging audience development initiatives.

The successful candidate will ideally have arts marketing experience, excellent time and workload management skills and a confident and professional manner. Will also suit recent graduate looking for their first job in the theatre industry. Experience with Graphic Design software an advantage but not essential.

Freelance position – Minimum 20 Working hours per week

Technical Stage Manager
Will suit first time entrant to theatre. Ideal candidate will have an ability to work under pressure and feel confident working with actors and artists. Experience with theatre ground plans and computer software an advantage.


Advance technical aspect of shows with promoters, managers and agents.

Prepare, rig, install and operate sound, lighting, multimedia and audio-visual systems for performances, events and activities.

Set the stage and auditorium for performances, events and activities.

Assist with the get ins/get outs. ·

Ensure the presentation of performances, events and activities to the highest possible technical and professional standards. ·

Contribute to the care and maintenance of sound, lighting, multimedia and audio-visual equipment. ·

Ensure the performance spaces are in a clean, safe and presentable condition. ·

Attend staff meetings as required. ·

Associate Producer

Fixed opportunity until the end of August 2019 with the option of an ongoing basis.

An opportunity has arisen for a short term placement as an associate producer to work on a number of producing projects. Working closely alongside the managing director, we are looking for an individual with an enthusiasm for theatre who is able to work with and line-manage a compact team.

We are looking for someone with great communication skills, and a willingness and ability to successfully manage a number of projects at any one time.

The candidate will work in the Tabard’s busy but small office and will be involved in all aspects of the theatre.

Flexible working hours with an opportunity to work from home on certain tasks.
£200 per week.



• Strong communication: both in written and verbal English

• Confident to make initial approaches to organisations and communities

Tabard Pub Staff

The Adjoining Tabard pub managed by Greene King is looking for additional bar staff on a flexible basis.

Good working knowledge of various types of alcohol

Experience mixing drinks

Quick and meticulous worker

Experience handling money

High quality customer service skills
